http://www.2epub.com can convert DOC to EPUB

Thanks for the reference. I tried it out with a small file, and it does seem to work. However, there doesn’t seem to be a way to set metadata, unless you have to do that through Word. It also doesn’t handle covers, from what I can see. I didn’t try embedding the cover in my Word doc. But it’s a great starting point.

I should also note here that Indesign is another possibility, if you have it. However, you have to setup your Indesign file(s) in a particular way to fully take advantage of the Export to Digital feature. Otherwise you’ll end up having to modify the generated ePub.

    Do you know Calibre? http://calibre-ebook.com/
Its one stop-solution for all this.

Yes, I know about Calibre; it’s #1 on the list of free tools I referenced in the post. I’ve tried it, but I prefer to use eCub when formatting eBooks.

Wondershare Mepub is also a top ebook formatting tool i have been used it for a while. However, it is a paid solution.
