Kit Foster is a self-publisher who does his own covers and has decided to start a cover design business. To build his portfolio, he’s offering to do covers for free! All he’ll ask in return is to be credited for the cover design in the book, which is standard practice, anyway. He’ll accept requests until September 30th, 2011, so if you’re at the stage where you need a cover done, definitely check him out. You can see samples of Kit’s work at:
If you’re interested in working with Kit, send the following to firstname.lastname@example.org :
Any pictures you want used.
Spine width (Sarah’s note: I’d expect Kit to figure this out from the number of pages and the printer’s specifications)
Back cover blurb.
Tagline or subtitle (if you have one).
A brief description of the story (So I can get a feel for the mood of the book).
An excerpt from your book (If you don’t mind, of course!).
Any existing cover ideas (if you have any) .
Any other information you feel would be helpful.
